Climate change presents a real threat to our society. Increasing recycling is one aspect of responding to the challenge. Recycling can save waste, energy and landfill space.

Recycling in St Edmundsbury took a step backwards when the Council has slapped an extra £40 on the charge for the brown bin collection. This was on top of the money already paid by local residents in Council Tax.

Abolishing the £40 extra "tax" and introducing food waste recycling would help to put recycling back on the right track.
