Brexit petition crashes parliament.uk petition website

The petition to revoke Article 50 really took off yesterday (Thursday) and reached 1,000,000 signatures - the fastest in history.

So many people wanted to sign that it crashed repeatedly as a result of so much traffic to the site. The petition, which was started a month ago, grew significantly overnight after Theresa May's widely-criticised speech on Downing Street.

By last night, the petition had passed 2,000,000 signatures. It is well on the way to pass 3,000,000 this lunchtime (Friday).

People's Vote to sort Brexit

Meanwhile, tomorrow will see the 'Put It To The People March' to Westminster calling for a People's Vote. It is expected to rival in size the historic march against Tony Blair's Iraq policy, from which he never recovered. West Suffolk Lib Dems will be there.
