West Suffolk LibDems before the march

Two double-decker buses left Bury St Edmunds terminus bound for the Put It To The People March in London on Saturday March 23rd. Aboard were a group of West Suffolk Liberal Democrats who were determined to make their voices heard and banners seen in the mass movement against the Brexit shambles. LibDem policy is to withdraw article 50 if there's no decision to extend the negotiations and no possibility of a further peoples vote on the deal. As they slowly moved from Hyde Park Corner to Parliament Square the crowd chanted for Mrs May to "give the people the final say" and some less flattering suggestions as to what the fate of Brexit should be! Many were also demanding Article 50 be revoked.

A spokesperson said, "We need to give the people the final say or withdraw Article 50. So many promises have been broken on the road to Brexit. So many pledges have been found to be baseless and the easy trade deals have evaporated just like the Tory government's unity"

LibDem MPs and President give full voice to their protest

The Liberal Democrat Party was also well represented by MPs Wera Hobhouse, Ed Davey, Tom Brake, Layla Moran, President Sal Brinton and at the head of the march, Sir Vince Cable. We managed to sneak a picture of some of them in full voice at the start of the march. We couldn't get near the front to see Vince as the million people between us wouldn't let us through!
